The beauty industry, like many others, has long been associated with excessive packaging and single-use plastics, contributing significantly to environmental degradation. Recognising this, we realised that our responsibility extends beyond offering high-quality skincare products; it encompasses the entire lifecycle, from production to disposal.
Production
We use ingredients that are sustainable are either renewable—meaning they can be replenished without placing an undue burden on the environment or depleting natural resources—or responsibly-sourced, which encompasses improving the social and environmental impact of our sourcing practices.
Our journey towards sustainable packaging has been marked by a series of innovative steps and strategic partnerships. We've transitioned from conventional plastic materials to eco-friendly alternatives, such as recycled paper, biodegradable plastics, and compostable materials. These materials not only minimise environmental impact but also offer the same level of protection and functionality as traditional packaging. We do not use product boxes and our product packaging is made from glass or the item can be taken apart for the hard plastic to be recycled.
Postage and Packaging
Driven by our core values of integrity and responsibility, we embarked on a comprehensive analysis of our packaging practices. We sought to identify areas where we could minimise waste, reduce our carbon footprint, and foster sustainability without compromising the quality of our products or the experience of our customers.
We will reuse plastic packaging that has been sent to us and if we are purchasing packaging materials our priority will always be to use biodegradable products that can be recycled.
