Pistacia Lentiscus Gum (Mastic Gum)

Pistacia Lentiscus Gum, also known as Mastic Gum, is a resin derived from the Pistacia lentiscus tree native to the Mediterranean region. Mastic gum works as an alternative to retinol by inhibiting CYP26 enzymes which are responsible for the elimination of retinoic acid in the skin. By inhibiting the CYP26 enzymes, retinoic acid levels can increase.

  • Antimicrobial and Anti-Inflammatory Properties: Mastic Gum exhibits notable antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.
