Tara Seed Extract

Tara spinosa, commonly known as tara (Quechua) is a small leguminous tree or thorny shrub native to Peru. T. spinosa is cultivated as a source of tannins based on a galloylatedquinic acid structure. Working deep within the skin to boost moisture levels, this seed also strengthens the skin’s natural moisture barrier to help prevent future dehydration. It’s also high in vitamin C and B, as well as complex sugars. This is a unique, three dimensional glycol-matrix delivery system that releases moisturising molecules sequentially into the stratum corneum, resulting in a highly significant improvement of both immediate and long term skin hydration.
